Motherhood is not something to Perform.
Motherhood is not something to Perform.
Birth is not simply a medical event.
It is a threshold—a moment in a woman’s life when body, instinct, identity and relationship come together in powerful ways.
Within the Birth Guardian philosophy, birth can be understood as a labyrinth.
A labyrinth has one path. It carries a woman inward through the intensity of labour until she reaches the centre—the moment when a baby is born and a mother is born too.
Support during birth is not about controlling that journey or promising a particular outcome. It is about protecting the environment in which a woman can move through her experience feeling safe, informed, respected and supported.
My role as a Birth Guardian is to walk beside families through pregnancy, birth and the transition into parenthood with calm presence, practical knowledge, emotional steadiness and care.
Every Birth Guardian service includes support beyond the formal appointments listed within the package.
Throughout the period of your booked service, you will have ongoing virtual access to me for questions, preparation, reflection and reassurance.
This may include:
Virtual support is nonclinical and is not a replacement for communication with your doctor, midwife or hospital. Medical concerns, urgent symptoms or questions about the wellbeing of the mother or baby must always be directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
You and your partner will receive access to my private online client library containing five complete modules of videos and supporting resources.
The library guides you through:
You can revisit the information at any time and prepare together at a pace that works for your family.
Pregnancy and postpartum do not always fit neatly into scheduled sessions.
When needed and possible, I also make space for an additional virtual check-in, a conversation after an important appointment or an informal coffee date together.
These moments are offered according to availability and are part of the relational way in which I care for the families I support.
The Orientation offers a grounded and personal introduction to birth for couples who want to feel more informed, connected and prepared.
It is ideal for families who may already be attending antenatal classes or completing their own research but want private guidance that relates specifically to their pregnancy, partner and planned birth environment.
Preparation is not about memorising every stage or technique. It is about understanding how birth works, recognising what helps the mother feel safe and helping the partner become a calm and useful source of support.
Families who want focused private preparation, introductory partner guidance and a clearer understanding of labour without booking in-person birth support.

The Labyrinth Preparation is for families who want to move beyond basic childbirth education and explore the emotional, practical and relational journey of birth.
Birth is not only a series of physical stages. It may also bring vulnerability, fear, surrender, uncertainty, strength and profound change.
This journey creates space to understand how labour works while also preparing the mother and partner for the emotional landscape surrounding it.
We may also make space for:
This is not therapy or clinical trauma treatment. It is a reflective preparation process intended to support awareness, confidence and self-compassion.
Families who want deeper practical and emotional preparation but do not require on-call availability or attendance during labour.
AED 2,800

The Signature Pregnancy Preparation Journey is my most complete standalone birth-preparation offering.
It is designed for families who want to prepare deeply and personally for birth but do not require me to attend the labour.
This journey brings together birth physiology, emotional preparation, hospital navigation, partner confidence, practical comfort measures, birth preferences and preparation for the first days after birth.
Rather than teaching one “right” way to give birth, we focus on helping you understand your options, recognise what helps you feel safe and prepare to remain connected to one another when circumstances change.
We explore how labour works physically, hormonally and emotionally, including the stages of labour, the role of safety and the changing emotional landscape of birth.
We explore your priorities, choices and questions, including movement, monitoring, examinations, consent, induction, pain relief, waterbirth, pushing, newborn care and preferences if circumstances change.
A clear birth-preferences document can be created from our work together.
Partners learn how to offer practical and emotional support through touch, movement, counterpressure, breathing, reassurance, communication and protection of the birth environment.
We create space to explore fears, expectations, previous experiences, control, vulnerability, intuition and the emotional transition into motherhood.
We bring everything together through practical rehearsal, hospital preparation, partner roles, possible changes in the birth pathway and a realistic plan for the first days after birth.
Families who want the highest level of private preparation but plan to rely on their partner, medical team or another doula during labour.

Some families have already completed comprehensive birth education and feel confident in their preparation but still want an experienced and calming presence beside them when labour begins.
Birth Guardian Presence offers focused prenatal connection, on-call availability, continuous labour support and immediate postpartum presence.
This is a birth-focused package rather than a complete preparation journey.
My role is not to replace the partner or direct the birth. I help protect the emotional environment, offer comfort measures, guide the partner and provide continuity as labour unfolds.
Before the on-call period begins, we will meet for one private prenatal session.
This may include:
I will be on call beginning at 37 weeks of pregnancy and continuing until your baby is born.
During this period, I remain prepared to support you when labour begins.
Once you need me, support may include:
I normally remain for approximately one to two hours after the birth, depending on the circumstances and hospital policies.
This may include support for:
Families who have already completed comprehensive preparation and primarily want support during labour and birth.
AED 5,000

The Essential Journey is designed for families who want focused preparation, ongoing pregnancy support and continuous presence during labour and birth.
It offers enough time to build trust before labour begins while remaining a streamlined birth-support package.
Families who want experienced birth support with focused preparation and one opportunity to reflect after the birth.
AED 6,500
********************************************************
The Expanded Journey offers more time for preparation, partner involvement and postpartum reflection.
It is designed for families who want a deeper relationship before birth and more space to process the experience afterward.
Everything within the Essential Journey, plus:
Families who want more preparation than the Essential Journey, greater partner confidence and additional postpartum reflection.
AED 8,000

The Signature Birth Journey is my most complete preparation and birth-support experience without extended ceremonial postpartum care.
It combines five private preparation sessions, emotional readiness, comprehensive partner training, hospital navigation, a personalised birth-preferences document, on-call availability and continuous support throughout labour and birth.
By the time labour begins, I will already understand your story, your concerns, your partner and the kind of environment in which you feel safest.
The preparation includes:
I will be on call beginning at 37 weeks.
When labour begins, I provide early-labour telephone guidance followed by continuous in-person support when you need me.
Support may include:
The journey includes one postpartum integration visit, creating space to reflect on the birth and discuss recovery, feeding, emotional adjustment and the transition into parenthood.
Families who want the most comprehensive preparation and birth support but do not require Closing the Bones or extended postpartum integration.
AED 9,500

For families preparing for a Vaginal Birth After Caesarean, the journey often carries both hope and uncertainty.
A new pregnancy may bring excitement while also awakening memories, questions or fears connected to the previous birth.
The Hospital VBAC Birth Journey combines thoughtful preparation, realistic expectations, emotional support, partner preparation, hospital navigation, on-call availability and continuous support through labour and birth.
The intention is not to guarantee a vaginal birth.
It is to help the mother and family approach the experience feeling informed, respected, involved and supported.
We may explore:
Preparation may include:
I will be on call beginning at 37 weeks.
When labour begins, I provide early-labour guidance followed by continuous in-person support.
Support may include:
The journey includes one postpartum integration visit to reflect on the relationship between the previous and current births and support the transition into postpartum.
VBAC is not a guarantee of vaginal birth.
A repeat caesarean does not erase the courage, preparation or participation of the mother. Success is not defined only by the method of birth.

“Every birth deserves respect. A VBAC journey deserves both courage and care.”

The Foundation Journey is for families who want comprehensive preparation and birth support while also understanding that care should not end when the baby is born.
Birth creates an opening—physically, emotionally, relationally and within the identity of the mother.
Postpartum support creates space for that experience to be witnessed, understood and integrated.
Everything within the Signature Birth Journey—All-Inclusive, plus:
The home visit may include:
Closing the Bones offers a ceremonial moment of warmth, wrapping, stillness and acknowledgement after the openness of birth.
The ceremony may include:
The two private Becoming Mother sessions may explore:
Families who want complete preparation and birth support together with meaningful postpartum care, reflection and ceremony.

The Full Integration Journey is my most comprehensive and personally held Birth Guardian offering.
It is designed for families who do not simply want someone present for the birth, but who value having one trusted guide walking beside them through the emotional, practical and relational journey of pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum.
This is a highly personalised experience with time to build trust, prepare deeply, involve the partner meaningfully and create continuity between pregnancy, birth and the mother’s return into herself.
The support does not end when the baby is born.
After birth, our work continues through home visits, reflective integration sessions and a Closing the Bones ceremony.
Our prenatal work may include:
The journey includes one private shadow-work and pattern-awareness conversation.
We may explore:
This is not clinical therapy. It is a carefully held reflective conversation intended to support awareness, honesty and self-compassion.
Full Integration families receive my highest level of virtual access and responsiveness within my working availability.
This may include support before and after appointments, emotional check-ins, early-labour guidance and ongoing support between postpartum sessions.
Priority communication does not mean 24-hour emergency or medical access.
This journey includes:
Across the integration period, we may explore:
There is no expectation that the mother must feel healed, grateful or “back to herself” by a certain point.
These sessions create space for truth without rushing the process.
Everything within the Foundation Journey, plus:
Families seeking the highest level of continuity, personal support, birth preparation and postpartum integration.
AED 17,500
Because this offering includes priority access, extended postpartum support and reserved on-call availability, only a limited number of Full Integration families can be accepted.
“The birth of a baby is also the birth of a mother. Both deserve time, preparation, presence and care.”
— Caridad Saenz

Before entering the labyrinth of birth, many mothers feel called to gather their community and receive encouragement, care and blessings for the journey ahead.
A Mother Blessing is not a traditional baby shower.
The focus is on the woman who is preparing to give birth—honouring her strength, surrounding her with meaningful support and creating a moment she can carry with her into labour.
Each ceremony is shaped around the mother, her relationships, her beliefs and the kind of gathering she wants to experience.
A Mother Blessing may include:
All Mother Blessing packages include virtual planning support, access to the Birth Guardian Client Library and guidance in creating a meaningful and respectful gathering.
A quiet and meaningful ceremony for a small circle of loved ones.

Preparation-only services may be paid in two instalments, with the final balance due before the final scheduled preparation session.
Birth-support services require a signed agreement and a non-refundable booking retainer to reserve your estimated birth period.
The recommended payment structure for birth packages is:
The full balance must be completed before the on-call period begins.
Families booking later in pregnancy will be asked to combine any payments that have already fallen due.
Access to the Birth Guardian Client Library and continuous virtual support begins once the agreement and first payment have been received.
Changes in the location, timing or method of birth—including induction, epidural, assisted birth, transfer or caesarean—do not automatically cancel the service.
My support adapts to the circumstances that unfold.
Birth Guardian services are nonclinical.
I do not diagnose medical conditions, perform clinical assessments, monitor fetal wellbeing, recommend medication, interpret medical results or make medical decisions.
My role is to provide education, practical preparation, emotional support, physical comfort measures, partner guidance, continuity and space for informed communication.
Medical concerns and decisions relating to clinical care must always be discussed with the appropriate doctor, midwife, nurse, hospital or emergency service.
Every birth journey is unique.
Some families come to me seeking education and practical preparation. Others want someone walking beside them during labour itself. Some feel called to receive support throughout pregnancy, birth and the return into motherhood.
There is no single right way to prepare for birth.
There is no perfect birth to achieve.
My intention is to ensure that families feel informed without becoming overwhelmed, supported without being directed and respected as they move through one of life’s most profound experiences.
You do not have to navigate every decision alone.
You do not have to remember everything from one appointment or one preparation session.
And you do not have to perform birth correctly.
My role is to walk beside you, protect space for your voice, support the people surrounding you and help you remain connected to yourself as your journey unfolds.
If this approach resonates with you, I invite you to begin with a private consultation.
Together, we can explore which level of preparation and support would best serve you and your family.
“Birth is not something a woman needs to perform.
It is a path she walks—one that deserves presence, protection and respect.”
— Caridad Saenz
