Work With Me

Working together is not about fixing or perfecting your experience.
It is about creating the conditions in which you feel safe enough to listen to yourself.

I support women and couples through pregnancy, birth, and the transition into motherhood with care that is steady, respectful, and deeply human. My role is not to take over, but to walk alongside — offering presence, discernment, and grounded support during moments of profound change.

This work is relational.
It is slow by design.
It begins with trust.

BIRTH SUPPORT

Birth is not only about how a baby arrives — it is about how a woman is met while she is becoming someone new.

As a birth doula, I offer continuous, calm presence throughout labor and birth. I support physiological birth while honoring the realities of hospital settings and the importance of respectful collaboration with medical teams.

My support includes:

  • Emotional and nervous system regulation
  • Grounded, embodied presence during labor
  • Support for informed decision-making
  • Partner support and guidance
  • Advocacy rooted in respect and communication
  • Post-birth integration and reflection

I support first-time parents, planned hospital births, VBAC journeys, medicated births, waterbirths, and scheduled cesareans.

Availability is limited to ensure quality of care.

WATERBIRTH PREPARATION

For many women, water offers a sense of safety, privacy, and surrender.

Waterbirth preparation is not about forcing a particular outcome. It is about understanding how immersion can support comfort, relaxation, and physiological progress — while remaining flexible and responsive to what the birth requires.

This preparation may include:

  • Understanding the role of water in labor and birth
  • Preparing the body and nervous system for immersion
  • Practical considerations for hospital-based waterbirth
  • Partner support in and around the water
  • Navigating eligibility, timing, and transitions
  • Holding flexibility if plans shift

Waterbirth preparation can be offered as part of full birth support or as standalone education.

MEDICATED BIRTH SUPPORT

Choosing pain relief does not diminish the depth or integrity of your birth.

I support women who plan or choose medicated birth with the same respect and presence as any other path. This work centers autonomy, informed choice, and emotional safety — before, during, and after interventions.

Support may include:

  • Understanding pain relief options and timing
  • Preparing emotionally for medical interventions
  • Maintaining agency and communication during labor
  • Partner support during medicalized moments
  • Processing feelings that arise before or after birth

Birth is not defined by the absence of medication.
It is defined by how you are held.

PLANNED CESAREAN SUPPORT

A planned cesarean is still a birth — and it deserves intention, preparation, and care.

I support women and couples preparing for scheduled cesarean birth in ways that honor both the medical necessity and the emotional experience of the day.

This work may include:

  • Preparing emotionally for surgical birth
  • Creating a calm, intentional birth environment where possible
  • Supporting partner presence and connection
  • Gentle cesarean preferences and advocacy
  • Post-birth emotional integration and processing

There is no hierarchy of birth experiences here.
Only honesty, respect, and care.

PREGNANCY PREPARATION & EDUCATION

Preparation is not about memorizing information.
It is about building trust — in your body, in each other, and in your ability to navigate uncertainty.

I offer pregnancy preparation for couples who want to feel informed without being overwhelmed, and connected without being managed.

This work may include:

  • Understanding birth as a physiological and emotional process
  • Preparing the nervous system for labor
  • Partner roles rooted in presence rather than fixing
  • Navigating medical systems with confidence and clarity
  • Exploring fears, expectations, and boundaries
  • Embodied practices that support labor and connection

Sessions are offered privately and in small groups.

VBAC PREPARATION

VBAC is not simply a clinical choice — it is often an emotional reckoning.

I support couples preparing for a vaginal birth after cesarean with care that acknowledges both the medical realities and the lived experience of prior birth.

This work focuses on:

  • Rebuilding trust in the body
  • Processing previous birth experiences
  • Understanding VBAC eligibility and options
  • Preparing emotionally and physically for labor
  • Supporting informed, grounded decision-making

VBAC preparation is offered as focused sessions or as part of full birth support.

POSTPARTUM & INTEGRATION SUPPORT

Birth does not end when the baby arrives.

The postpartum period is a time of profound vulnerability and identity shift. I offer support that centers emotional integration, rest, and the slow unfolding of motherhood.

This work may include:

  • Processing the birth experience
  • Emotional support during early motherhood
  • Identity transitions and integration
  • Holding space for grief, joy, and complexity
  • Gentle guidance rooted in listening

This support is not prescriptive.
It meets you where you are.

HOW WE BEGIN

Working together begins with a conversation.

If you feel drawn to this work, I invite you to reach out and share where you are in your journey. From there, we can explore whether working together feels aligned.

There is no pressure.
Trust moves at its own pace.

A FINAL NOTE

I do not promise a particular kind of birth.
I promise care that is present, respectful, and attuned.

If what you are seeking is someone to manage your experience, this may not be the right fit.

If what you are seeking is someone to help you feel safe enough to be fully yourself — you are welcome here.

with love, CARIDAD SAENZ
